Truevet

Open science

Evidence on the page,
not in a brochure.

Truevet publishes the mechanisms, the trial designs and the dose-response data behind every product. Calculators that translate trial data into local-currency ROI ship in Sprint 3. Until then, here's how it works.

01 · Mechanism of action

Why phytogenics actually work.

Conventional wisdom dismissed botanicals as folklore for decades. That conventional wisdom was wrong, and the molecular biology has been catching up.

Truevet's phytogenic complexes work through three converging mechanisms: membrane disruption of target bacteria via essential-oil terpenes; quorum-sensing inhibition via standardised saponins and polyphenols; and mucosal priming of the host's own immune defences via β-glucans, tannins and Astragalus polysaccharides.

The combination is much harder for bacteria to evolve resistance against than a single-target antibiotic. The host benefits in measurable, repeatable ways: better gut morphology, lower mortality, higher vaccine response, lower lesion scores in challenge trials.

None of this is magic. It's sustained molecular biology, carefully standardised raw materials, and trial designs that hold up to independent scrutiny.

MECHANISM · A

Membrane disruption

Carvacrol, thymol and related essential-oil terpenes destabilise bacterial cell membranes selectively, sparing host cells and gut commensals.

MECHANISM · B

Quorum quenching

Saponins and plant polyphenols interfere with bacterial cell-to-cell signalling, breaking the communication that pathogenic populations need to coordinate.

MECHANISM · C

Mucosal priming

β-glucans engage Dectin-1 receptors on macrophages; Astragalus polysaccharides upregulate type-I interferon. The host's own immunity does the rest.

03 · Discovery pipeline

AI-assisted formulation.

Truevet uses machine-learning tooling to explore biologically relevant chemical and microbial space, narrowing the candidate pool before any wet-lab time is spent. The result is a discovery cycle that runs in months instead of years — and a product pipeline that compounds over time.

The hybrid model means we can run more pipeline experiments in parallel than a vertically integrated competitor at the same capital base.
